He continued: During his stay in Egypt, the Secretary General will go to North Sinai and visit a hospital in al-Arish, as well as the place where a lot of international aid for Gaza is received and stored. He will also go to Rafah in the Egyptian sector as one of the aid arrival areas, and there he will meet and talk with UN staff in humanitarian affairs.

According to what diplomatic sources told AFP, the vote that was supposed to take place today -Saturday- in the UN Security Council on the draft of a new resolution requesting an “immediate” ceasefire in Gaza, in an effort to avoid another failure after Russia and China’s use of their veto rights on Friday against the US draft was postponed until Monday.
These sources explained that the decision to adjourn was made to allow for further discussions on the alternative draft resolution prepared by a number of non-permanent council members.
On Friday, Russia and China used their veto in the Security Council against the US draft resolution on Gaza, which was in favor of the Zionist aggression.
