US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called the deadly attack on the Crocus concert hall on the outskirts of Moscow a “heinous crime” and said Washington “condemns terrorism in all its forms”.
According to AFP, Blinken said in a short statement: “We express our deepest condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims of this heinous crime. We condemn terrorism in all its forms and stand in solidarity with the Russian people in this terrible event.
Previously, the White House described this terrorist incident as “terrible” and sent a message of condolence to Russia.
Russian intelligence services say that at least 143 people have been killed as a result of gunmen shooting in a concert hall on the outskirts of Moscow. Alexander Bortnikov, director of the Federal Security Service of Russia, says that 11 suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident, 4 of whom were directly involved. It is said that the mentioned people were arrested in “Briansk” region, which borders with Ukraine.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has declared public mourning tomorrow (Sunday).
