Israel’s former war minister: Netanyahu sacrifices hostages at the cost of preserving his alliance

The Minister of War and the former Chief of General Staff of the Zionist regime harshly criticized the Prime Minister of this regime and said that he continues the issue of prisoner exchange like a hostage to prevent the fall of his cabinet.

Simultaneously with the time-wasting of the Zionist regime during the ceasefire negotiations and exchange of prisoners, whispers of opposition to the actions of the extreme cabinet of this regime are also heard.

In the latest stance, “Moshe Ya’alon”, the Chief of the General Staff of the Army and the former Minister of War of the Zionist regime, who was once in the cabinet of “Benyamin Netanyahu” and has now become his staunch opponent, says that if the prime minister of this regime had intended the Israeli army to Rafah, he would have done this instead of withdrawing most of the military from Gaza in recent weeks.

Yalon told the Zionist TV Channel 12 on Saturday: “What is happening is that Netanyahu wants to prolong the war. The duration of his presence in the cabinet is equal to the time that the war lasts. He does not want to end the war. He is ready to sacrifice hostages at the cost of preserving his far-right coalition”.

In this regard, on Saturday evening, the spokesman of the military branch of Hamas announced the death of an Israeli prisoner due to lack of medicine and food.

A senior member of Hamas also told AFP, “Israel’s position towards the ceasefire is very negative and its purpose is to obstruct any agreement”.

The former war minister of the Zionist regime continued his statements against Netanyahu and said: “6 months have passed. Every minute the hostages are in Gaza, we pay a heavy price. If we were acting based on the interests of Israel and not the survival of our coalition, we should have solved the hostage issue from the very beginning; When we could use the issue of humanitarian aid as a pressure lever”.

He also said that according to the extremist members of the cabinet who want to reoccupy Gaza and build settlements there, the hostages can be left in captivity until “the Messiah appears”.
