New US and British sanctions against China
In a joint action with the United Kingdom, the United States announced the imposition of sanctions against a company and two individuals related to China under the pretext of cyber attacks against both countries. |
U.S. and British authorities on Monday claimed the company and sanctioned individuals were responsible for hacks that may have given them access to the information of tens of millions of British voters.
They also claimed that the company and individuals were responsible for attacks against British and American lawmakers who had warned about threats from China.
England also accused Chinese hackers of trying to break into the emails of lawmakers critical of China.
In this regard, London will strengthen laws in the field of combating espionage, and the relevant bill will be reviewed today in the British House of Commons.
According to the claims, Chinese hackers hacked the servers of the British Election Commission and tried to access the personal information of some members of the House of Commons and the Upper House of this country.
