Basmani district court of Moscow accepted the investigator’s request today (Tuesday) and issued a warrant in absentia for the arrest of Vasyl Maliuk, head of the Ukrainian security service, on charges of terrorism.
The court of the mentioned region announced: The court has agreed to the investigator’s request to implement a preventive measure in the form of arresting the head of the Security Service of Ukraine in absentia.
According to the Sputnik news agency, the head of the Ukrainian security service has been charged under Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code, which is related to terrorist acts. On Monday, Maliuk wrote in Telegram that the Ukrainian security service was involved in a series of attacks against Russian oil refineries. The Crimean bridge and the ships in the Black Sea have been involved.
The Crimea bridge has been the target of attacks in Ukraine since the start of the Russian operation. In October 2022, a truck bomb exploded on the bridge, killing the driver and four civilians and damaging the bridge. In July 2023, Ukraine attacked the bridge and in the course of it, two people were killed and one person was injured.
