New US sanctions against Iran, Yemen and Lebanon

The US Treasury announced new sanctions against Iran's Revolutionary Guard, Yemen's Ansarullah, and Lebanon's Hezbollah, citing flimsy excuses.

report Mehr News Agency, citing Al-Arabiya, the US Department of Treasury issued a statement on Tuesday announcing new sanctions against the so-called business intermediaries of Yemen’s Ansarullah Forces, the Quds Force of Iran’s Revolutionary Guards and Hizb Allah has applied Lebanon.

In this statement, it is stated that the said sanctions include six entities, one individual and two oil tankers, whose field of activity or place of registration of their activity is in India. Vietnam, Lebanon, Kuwait and Liberia.

The US Department of Treasury has claimed that the set of mentioned individuals and institutions were involved in facilitating the exchange of cargoes and financial transactions.

The ministry added that it has sanctioned 11 individuals and institutions that support the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad through the facilitation of financial exchanges.
