Chinese engineers were on their way to Islamabad to build a dam in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province when they were targeted by a suicide attack. Five Chinese and a Pakistani driver were killed in this attack.
The city of Dasu, where this big project is to be built, was the target of suicide attacks in the past. In 2021, a bus bombing killed 13 people, including 9 Chinese citizens.
