The request of British parliamentarians to stop sending weapons to the Zionist regime

By signing a letter, British parliamentarians asked the London government to stop the process of selling weapons to the Zionist regime during the Gaza war.

Parliamentary pressure on the British government to ban arms sales to the Zionist regime is increasing. This process has intensified amid signs that the Israeli regime intends to ignore the recent resolution of the United Nations Security Council. A resolution passed this week called on all parties to commit to a ceasefire in Gaza.

The mentioned letter was written and signed by more than 130 representatives of the British Parliament addressed to David Cameron, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country. Last week, the Canadian government announced that it will stop all arms exports to the Zionist regime.

British officials are facing a lot of pressure from the government ministers in the shadow of this country in the field of selling weapons to the Israeli regime due to human rights violations. An issue that can eventually cause the British arms sales process to be suspended.

The representatives who signed this letter have argued that the continuation of the “business as usual” process of exporting British weapons to the Zionist regime is “completely unacceptable” in the current situation.

In the mentioned letter, it is mentioned that the British government has suspended the sale of weapons to Gaza in the previous two Gaza attacks.
Representatives of Parliament wrote in this letter: The amount of violence committed by the Israeli army today is much more deadly than in the past, however, the British government has failed to respond effectively to this process.

This letter was published after the resolution of the United Nations Security Council, which called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
A resolution that was categorically rejected by Benjamin Netanyahu, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime, and even he has planned a trip A delegation of the Israeli regime to Washington was also canceled in response to the US abstaining from this resolution.

Although the United States has called this resolution non-binding, Britain has not provided such an interpretation of the said resolution. Cameron has intensified his criticism of the Israeli regime in recent weeks.

Some of the criticisms of the British Foreign Minister indicate that the Zionist regime, as an occupying power, does not fulfill its duty according to international laws to provide water and food to Palestinian civilians.
