Latvia: NATO is not ready to send troops to Ukraine

The prime minister of Latvia considered the possibility of sending NATO military forces to Ukraine weak.

Latvian Prime Minister Evika Silina announced that NATO member countries are not ready to discuss sending ground troops to Ukraine.

The prime minister of Latvia, who visited Germany, said in a conversation with the media: “As for the troops, I don’t think this initiative is very well prepared.”

Silina said in a joint press conference with the German chancellor: I swear, we in NATO are not ready to do this.

Latvian Prime Minister emphasized that NATO should focus on Ukraine’s needs, not on what Ukraine does not ask for.
