According to the international group Tasnim news agency, quoted by “Spiegel” weekly, in Bulgaria , the Populist Party (ITN) rejected attempts to form a new government, paving the way for early elections. The move came after the center-right Gareb party and its former coalition partner We Continue to Change announced that they would not be able to form a new government. In the parliament of Bulgaria, in a meeting with Ruben Radov, the president of this country said: Elections are the highest form of democracy. Radov also said that the interim government should form a cabinet that will carry out the task of organizing early parliamentary elections.
Bulgaria is the poorest member of the European Union and one of its most corrupt countries. Since anti-corruption protests in 2020, the country has been affected by political instability. The country has been run by interim governments until elections in April 2023.
