The director of the World Health Organization announced the necessity of evacuating 9,000 sick and wounded people out of Gaza. |
With the destruction of Gaza’s infrastructure by the Zionist regime, due to the severity and extent of the damage inflicted on civilians, this barrack is no longer able to provide services to the people as before. Hence, the need to evacuate the wounded and injured from this war to outside of Gaza is being raised.
According to Al Jazeera, Tedros Adhanom, Director of the World Health Organization announced today (Saturday) the urgent need of thousands of Palestinians to leave Gaza.
He wrote about this on his personal page on the X social network (former Twitter): Nearly 9 thousand Palestinian patients need immediate evacuation from Gaza and exit from this strip in order to receive medical services. These people include cancer patients, injured from Israeli bombings, kidney patients who need dialysis, and other chronic diseases.
This message continues: Considering that now only 10 hospitals in Gaza are providing medical services to the people in a limited way, thousands of patients are suffering from the lack of health services.
The director of the World Health Organization continued, referring to the statistics of patients and injured people who have been discharged from this barricade since the beginning of the war on October 7th, and said: During the planning and coordination up to this moment, more than 3,400 The patients left Gaza through the Rafah crossing, of which 2 thousand 198 were war wounded and 1 thousand 215 were sick.
