According to the regional office of Tasnim News Agency, the Turkish police announced that 40 Afghan refugees were arrested in the province. “Amasya” who were hiding in a car carrying foodstuffs.
The police of Amasya province identified and arrested these people during the inspection of cargo vehicles from the city of “Aghri” to “Istanbul”. /p>
It is said that these Afghan refugees will be deported from Turkey after going through administrative procedures.
Most of the refugees are between 18 and 25 years old, and one woman is also seen among them. All of these people have been transferred to refugee detention centers to be deported to Afghanistan. Turkey has recently increased checkpoints and mobile patrols to speed up the process of identifying and arresting refugees that the authorities call “illegal”. /p>
Earlier, the Minister of Interior of the Ankara government said that the number of checkpoints and mobile patrols has increased in 30 cities of Turkey to identify asylum seekers.
