Bolton: Trump does not have the mind of a dictator
The former US National Security Adviser strongly warned against the possibility of Donald Trump returning to the White House. |
In a situation where the issue of Donald Trump’s possible return to the White House as the President of the United States has become one of the hottest topics in the American political environment, Bolton said that Trump does not even have the intelligence necessary for a dictatorship.
Bolton said in response to the question of the conservative magazine “Figaro” whether he considers Trump a political leader with dictatorial tendencies: “He doesn’t even have that sense. God! He has been in the construction business.” Trump said a few months ago in response to a reporter’s question in the United States about whether he would be a dictator if he was re-elected as president: “Except for one day. No.”
Bolton, who was the White House National Security Advisor from April 2018 to September 2019, warned that Trump would carry out his threats to withdraw from NATO if he became president.
He said: “When a thought crosses Trump’s head, he comes back to it again and again, then he gets distracted and forgets about it, but finally he comes back to it and implements it.”
“This is why leaving NATO is a real possibility,” Bolton said. Zaya’s people think this is just a negotiating tool for Trump, but I don’t think so.”
