Hamdan added in an exclusive interview with Al Jazeera: We want answers to our proposals to the occupying regime about stopping aggression, exiting Gaza, returning refugees and rebuilding Gaza. This is despite the fact that the occupying regime has not made any commitments in its answers and its answers have been an attempt to waste time.
He clarified: We appreciate the efforts of the mediators, but the Israeli side is trying to hinder the negotiations. If Israel’s intransigence and stubbornness continue, the efforts of the mediators will reach a dead end. The Israeli side only wants to return its prisoners and continue to openly commit aggression.
This senior Hamas official noted: America’s position is still to cover Israel’s inconsistency and stubbornness and support it. We reject any aggressive move towards Rafah and we will not accept this in any way. We are doing our best to prevent the invasion of Rafah, but the resistance is ready to deal with a possible attack on Rafah. If the occupier continues his aggression, the resistance is ready to deal with it.
At the end, Hamdan emphasized: It is necessary to stop occupation and aggression, and we have the right to establish an independent country with the capital of Quds Sharif. Any attempt to invest in Arab countries to deal with the Palestinians will not succeed.
