The South African police say that this bus was carrying 15 male and 31 female passengers, and due to the driver’s inability to control the vehicle, the bus fell into a valley near Mamatlakala, killing 45 passengers. Authorities are still searching for the bodies of the victims.

This statement states: So far, only the bodies of 34 victims have been collected, of which only 9 people have been identified. All the victims of this incident are from Molepolole village in Botswana.

Local authorities say that some bodies are so badly burned that it is impossible to identify them.

Television images of this incident show a bus that is completely burnt and its body is sunken.

In a message, the president of South Africa expressed his regret over this incident and expressed his sympathy to the survivors of this incident.
