Netanyahu: The military operation in Rafah has not been suspended due to American influence

Benyamin Netanyahu, the right-wing prime minister of the Zionist regime, will undergo surgery under full anesthesia later today (Sunday) due to the diagnosis of hernia. Before leaving for the hospital, he attended a news conference with media members.

According to Al Jazeera, at the beginning of his speech, Netanyahu claimed that the Zionist regime’s army is achieving its goals in the Gaza war, and added: The suspension of military operations in Rafah was not due to American influence.

He pointed out: The ground operation in Rafah has not been suspended because of Ramadan, nor because of American pressure or other speculations. It takes time to prepare for this operation. Nothing can stop us in this war.

Netanyahu stressed: The destruction of the remaining Hamas forces during the war in Rafah is very necessary to declare victory. Without this operation, Israel will continue to face an existential threat.

Referring to the UN Security Council resolution that called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the Prime Minister of the Zionist regime added: The decision of the Security Council was very pathetic. For this reason, I had to send a clear message by canceling the trip of the Israeli delegation to America.

He claimed: We will create a commission led by the municipality in northern Gaza in order to return the refugees to this area and provide security and basic needs.

Referring to the military confrontation between the Zionist regime and the Lebanese Hezbollah in the northern borders of the occupied territories, Netanyahu added: My preference in the confrontation with Hezbollah is to reach an agreement through diplomacy. However, if diplomacy fails, other options are on the table.
