In a joint press conference with his American counterpart Anthony Blinken, French Foreign Minister Stephane Sejournay said that Iran should stop the tension-causing steps.
On Monday, the Zionist regime launched an air attack on the consular building of the Islamic Republic of Iran Embassy in the southwest of Damascus, as a result of which, a part of the consular building of the embassy and the residence of the ambassador were targeted.

On the other hand, US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said: The war in Gaza should not expand and turn into regional tension.
He emphasized: Aid workers must be protected. We asked Israel to conduct a quick and detailed investigation into the killing of aid workers in Gaza.
The media announced today that the Zionist occupying forces targeted the vehicles of the World Central Kitchen Organization and 7 employees of this organization were killed.
The US foreign minister noted in another part: We have a long-term commitment to Israel’s security.
Blinken also said that his country is trying to ascertain the facts of Israel’s attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.
He said that a Palestinian government should be established by giving guarantees to Israel.
