Israeli warplanes attacked the building attached to the Iranian embassy in Syria on Monday, April 13. Hossein Akbari, the ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Syria, said yesterday that this attack was carried out with an F-35 fighter and six missiles.
Hours later, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps confirmed the previously published reports about the martyrdom of generals Mohammad Reza Zahedi and Mohammad Hadi Haj Rahimi and five of their companions in this attack.
Nasser Kanani, the spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while condemning this attack, stated: “The dimensions of this hateful attack are being investigated, and the responsibility for its consequences lies with the aggressor Zionist regime.”
This attack has been opposed by various countries and authorities. Turkey, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Tunisia, Egypt, Venezuela, Cuba, China, Russia and a number of other countries and international personalities have condemned Israel’s action.
