Pope Francis, the leader of the world Catholics, said today (Wednesday): “I am sorry for the deaths of aid workers while distributing humanitarian aid in Gaza, and for them and I pray for their families.”
The world Catholic leader also warned against the spread of conflicts in Gaza.
The Pope has repeatedly called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, the exchange of prisoners and the access of the people of Gaza to humanitarian aid.
The non-governmental organization “World Central Kitchen” announced in a statement that the Israeli attacks on Monday, April 1, 2024 in Gaza killed seven aid workers of this organization.
Despite the adoption of a binding resolution in the UN Security Council and the request of the international community to establish a ceasefire in Gaza and provide access to humanitarian aid for the people of this strip, the Zionist regime continues to bombard and kill in this area.
The Gaza Ministry of Health announced in its latest report that since the beginning of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation, 32,975 Palestinians have been martyred in Gaza and 75,577 people have been injured.
