Biden’s campaign is grappling with voters’ concerns about the U.S. economy, despite better-than-expected growth in jobs, healthcare spending and gross domestic product, an issue that Democratic economists and political strategists bothers.

In the Wall Street Journal poll, negative views of Biden’s job performance outnumber positive views by at least 16 percentage points and more than 20 points in four states. Trump received an unfavorable job rating in only one of the seven states – Arizona – during his time in the White House.

This survey showed that Trump is better physically and mentally for the job according to 48% of respondents, while this survey was for Biden at 28%.

The survey was conducted from 4,200 votes – 600 in each of the seven states – from March 17 to 24. Its margin of error was calculated as plus or minus 1.5% for the complete sample and 4 points for the results in each state.
