Putin: Russia had to defend its interests with armed means

Vladimir Putin said at the 12th Congress of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia: Everyone understands the conditions in which we live. We are in a situation where our country has to defend itself by force and armed means.

The President of Russia added: Those who were the masterminds of the terrorist attack on the concert hall in the city of Crocus near Moscow wanted to harm the unity of Russia more than anyone else.

Putin stated: We have many reasons to believe that the main goal of the mastermind of these deadly terrorist attacks in Moscow was to destroy our unity. No other targets (for these attacks) are visible.

The shooting of terrorists and their attempt to throw fire bombs before the concert in Crocus City Hall in Moscow region on the evening of Friday, the third of April 1403, killed 139 people (according to The statistics of the Russian Investigative Committee) and 180 people were injured (according to the statistics of the Ministry of Health of the Moscow Region).

Putin had previously pointed out that the agents involved in this terrorist operation do everything for money, regardless of religious and political considerations, and said: Russia is in a difficult period of its history; Ever since the collapse of the Soviet Union, evil-doers have been trying to destroy and subjugate us.
