There is no doubt that Imam Khomeini (RA) attached great importance to Palestine before the victory of the Islamic Revolution in 1357 and was looking for an opportunity to make this issue a reality. express a practical As soon as the spark of hope for the victory of the blessed Islamic revolution of Iran was struck after his blessed return to Iran and the formation of the Islamic government was announced, Imam Khomeini spoke about his beliefs regarding Palestine. From his point of view, the best opportunity for this issue could be the victory of the Islamic government; Because before the victory of the revolution, there was no organization to manage the World Quds Day, but with the presence of a strong and powerful country like Islamic Iran, the Imam saw that they could demonstrate this matter from Iran and bring it to the Arab world and the Islamic world until this The issue should become a global matter.

Therefore, Imam Khomeini gave priority to this issue before any other issue. We witness that the announcement of Quds Day was made 6 months after Imam’s return to Tehran, and the Islamic State was at the beginning of its formation and organization in terms of management, practicality, logistics and all other matters. Before the revolution, the country was corrupt and the imam wanted to rebuild the country, but since in this short period he expressed his clear position towards Palestine, this issue should have been given priority.

In this way, Palestine and Jerusalem were given priority. Therefore, the imam expressed this issue and considered the best opportunity to serve Palestine and its residents and the people’s thoughts on this issue to be the allocation of a special day to announce the World Quds Day. He chose the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan for this occasion.

In this way, Imam Khomeini (RA) established this issue, considered it a necessary and certain matter and emphasized its priority. Today, after the passage of time, it has been proven to everyone that Iran has chanted clear slogans since the beginning and continues to adhere to them to this day and pays a heavy price for the defense of Palestine and its oppressed nation.

How Imam Khomeini was able to give a global dimension to the Palestinian issue and even though it started through an occasion Especially for Muslims, it was the holy month of Ramadan, did they succeed in achieving this?

Imam (RA) knew that any action they took would have a significant effect; Because he was actually the leader of the Ummah and the leader of the Muslims and had companions, imitators, followers and lovers. They knew that probably the Palestinian issue is not a central issue, it is placed in a narrow framework or is limited to a certain geographical area; It is true that Quds is inside Palestine and the borders of Palestine are clear on the geographical map, but this issue is higher and bigger than being a geographical issue and the issue is only one nation, party, party and religious clan. Imam (RA) was able to take the Palestine issue towards globalization and in this way, this issue found such a broad and clear dimension. Although this occasion is an Islamic occasion, that is, the month of Ramadan, the last Friday of which was designated by the Imam as the World Quds Day, but it is clear that it is not only Muslims who honor this day.

Thus, penetrating thought, foresight, objective and scientific discourse, Imam’s words of truth and sincerity gave the Holy Day a global dimension; Today, the day is celebrated in a special way in all parts of the world in Asia, Africa, Europe and other parts of the world, and activities are held during it.

The topic is not limited to the celebration of Quds Day in Lebanon, Iran or Iraq, and today we both hear and see with our own eyes how the international television channels celebrate the day. Quds is displayed by the people in European capitals and different continents to remind people about this day and the authenticity of this holy day.

Therefore, Quds Day took on such a global dimension and the Imams were able to achieve this with the truth and sincerity they had towards Palestine and Quds from the beginning.

Imam Khomeini (RA) says: “Quds Day is a day in which the fate of oppressed nations should be determined.” To be clear, it is the day during which the oppressed nations must declare their existence against the arrogant.” Why is Quds Day linked to determining the fate of oppressed nations? After 4 decades, can it be said that this day was successful in this dimension?

When talking about Quds and Palestine, the Imam (RA) made it clear that this day alone is not an opportunity for Palestine. Palestine is a symbol and a foundation, and this is an opportunity for all oppressed nations, freedom movements, and all human forces and organizations in every geographical region of the world who feel that they have not achieved their rights and that their rights have been taken away, they should declare their existence on Quds Day. to start, that is, to make Quds Day a day to announce their existence and to announce their presence, power, desires and needs that have been taken away by force.

For this reason, the issue of Quds, which is the highest case of depriving a nation of its rights and preventing a nation from having this right to existence, is linked to this issue. After 4 decades, we believe that the Imam has been successful in attracting the people of the world and all oppressed nations with every religion, party and thought to unite and gather around Quds.

After pointing out these strategic aspects of the World Quds Day in all fields, our question is: Has the World Quds Day succeeded in motivating the Arab and Islamic countries to carry out great responsibilities? Is this the World Quds Day that makes Muslims aware of the dangers that threaten their future?

After several years of celebrating Quds Day in different parts of the world, especially in Arab and Islamic countries, we believe that the goal outlined by Imam (RA) was to This day has been the motivation and constant presence of oppressed nations in all parts of the world to express their situation, their existence and demand their rights.

We believe that some dangers threaten the Muslims, their unity and some Muslim and non-Muslim nations that have been dragged down, killed, tortured, displaced or They have been imprisoned, he threatens. International Quds Day is a state of presence and uprising of different nations to shout their rights and impose this fact on all the proposed titles that they have priority in achieving their rights and these rights are earned and necessary rights that no one can deny. The other does not care.

Yes; After the passing of these years, the Imams were able to change the views in a clear way to form a sensitive, strong and efficient title today through the true declaration of a special day for Quds and other oppressed nations and expressing their righteous demands. The oppression of the oppressors will no longer be done without the voice, presence, power and taking a stand of the oppressed; A position through which the oppressed can shout that we have the right.

Palestine will return. Quds will return. In spite of killing, crime, displacement and imposing famine in Gaza, no matter how long it takes, the criminal will not be able to hide his crime. The world has finally woken up and realized that there is a land where people are oppressed and there are people who are being killed every day. More patience and persistence is required. With God’s permission, we will return Al-Aqsa Mosque, Quds and all of Palestine.
