According to local sources, the armed forces of Ukraine attacked one of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant units on Sunday.
The press service of the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant announced in a statement that as a result of this attack, no damage or loss of life was registered.
According to this statement, the performance and activities of this power plant and its surrounding environment have not changed after the attack and continue as normal.
Zaporizhia nuclear power plant has six power units with total capacity 6 GW and is the largest nuclear power plant in Europe. At the end of February2022, Russian forces took control of this facility and since then Ukrainian army units use drones, heavy artillery shells and rockets to periodically bombard the nuclear power plant area.
