According to the report of Siddi al-Balad, the Zionist Army Radio reported that the 98th Army Division with its three brigades left this area last night after four months of fighting with the Palestinian forces near Khan Yunis.
Hebrew media reported that the only remaining army in the Gaza Strip is the 162nd army and the “Nahal” brigade. The Nahal Brigade controls the road that divides the Gaza Strip into two parts, through which Israel prevents Gazans from returning from the south to the north.
After the publication of this news, the spokesman of the Zionist regime announced that all ground forces except one brigade have left southern Gaza.
The Israel Hum newspaper quoted political sources as saying that the mission of the Israeli army in Khan Yunis was to destroy the Hamas brigades and return the Israeli prisoners, but at the moment it cannot “achieve more” regarding the release of the prisoners.
