Haaretz: The Israeli army withdrew from Khan Yunis without achieving its goals

"Haaretz" newspaper reported about the retreat of the Zionist army forces from Khan Yunis without achieving their main goals.

Haaretz newspaper also wrote that the victory that Benjamin Netanyahu is looking for is not as close as he describes.

This Hebrew-language newspaper also revealed that the soldiers of the Zionist regime are leaving the southern part of Gaza, and this regime is no closer to its war goals, and now it has to face opposition from more Western countries.

The aforementioned newspaper also wrote that the Zionist army no longer has any ground forces in the south of the Gaza Strip. One of the groups of this combat brigade is still in the crossing that separates northern Gaza from southern Gaza. A small number of other brigades are stationed outside Gaza and will be brought in if needed.

Haaretz newspaper also wrote that the assassination of Yahya al-Sanwar and Mohammad Zaif, one of the leaders of the Hamas movement, along with the release of the Zionist prisoners, which was one of the main goals of the Zionist regime’s army in the ground attack on Khan Yunis, has not been achieved.

According to the claim of this newspaper, the Zionist army and Shabak found the tunnels in which Al-Sanwar was hiding during the war. In those tunnels, they found Hamas leadership centers, personal documents and Al-Sanwar’s equipment. Since then, he appears to have been moving between other hideouts in his deep underground compound in Khan Yunis.

This newspaper wrote that there is still a possibility of progress in rescuing the prisoners, but the truth must be told to the people, and the truth is that the military and governmental power of Hamas may be gradually declining, but the movement is not on the verge of failure.

Hebrew-language newspaper Ha’aretz pointed out three possible scenarios facing the Zionist regime: the first scenario is the escalation of tension and conflict with Iran and Lebanon’s Hezbollah, the second scenario is the sudden progress of negotiations with Hamas regarding prisoners, and the third scenario is the start of a new military operation in the Strip. Gaza is the center of the Gaza Strip with the ground attack on Rafah and the camps.

In addition to the complete victory, Netanyahu has repeatedly promised to attack Rafah. The initial preparations for this have already been made, but it will require the remobilization of forces in southern Gaza and, most importantly, the completion of a plan to evacuate a large number of civilians, some 1.4 million people.

Earlier, the Hebrew-language newspaper Haaretz quoted senior officers of the occupying army and wrote that the withdrawal of the army from combat positions in the Gaza Strip was due to combat fatigue and not as a sign of goodwill towards the prisoner exchange negotiations.

Israeli army radio reported that the 98th division of the Israeli army with its three brigades left this area last night after four months of fighting with Palestinian forces near Khan Yunis.

Hebrew media reported that the only remaining army in the Gaza Strip is the 162nd army and the “Nahal” brigade. The Nahal Brigade controls the road that divides the Gaza Strip into two parts, through which Israel prevents Gazans from returning from the south to the north.

After the publication of this news, the spokesman of the Zionist army announced that all ground forces except one brigade have left southern Gaza.

The Israel Hum newspaper quoted political sources as saying that the mission of the Israeli army in Khan Yunis was to destroy the Hamas brigades and return the Israeli prisoners, but at the moment it cannot “achieve more” regarding the release of the prisoners.
