Egypt yesterday increased the number of humanitarian aid trucks to the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing, allowing more than 300 trucks to pass through the crossing, which is more than any other period since the beginning of Israel’s attacks on Gaza.

Dia Rashwan, head of Egypt’s State Intelligence Service, said in a statement that Cairo decided to increase the number of daily humanitarian aid trucks including food, medical equipment and essential items to at least 300 trucks a day.Since the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan on March 11, 322 aid trucks from Egypt have entered the northern areas of Gaza.
According to Rashvan, since the beginning of the war on October 7, 2023, 19,354 trucks have entered Gaza through Rafah, including 1,9952 tons of medical equipment and 23,453 tons of food.
He added: These trucks have also transported 10,435 tons of fuel, 26,692 tons of water, 44,103 tons of other relief materials, and 123 equipped ambulances.
He continued: About 3,764 injured and sick Palestinians with 6,191 companions have entered Egypt from Gaza for treatment, and 66,759 are foreigners and dual nationals and 6,330 are Egyptians.
