Centcom claimed the destruction of a Yemeni air defense system and drone

The US Central Command (CENTCOM) claimed on Tuesday that it destroyed an air defense system, a ground control center and a drone of the Yemeni forces.

Centcom wrote in a statement on X social network that on Monday local time in Sana’a, the capital of Yemen, “it destroyed an air defense system with 2 missiles ready to launch, a ground control center in the areas controlled by the Houthis and a drone over the Red Sea. .”

According to this statement, US and coalition forces have not reported any damage or injuries. Centcom also claimed that on Sunday, “an anti-ship ballistic missile was fired from Yemen’s Houthi-controlled areas toward the Gulf of Aden, where a coalition ship was escorting the cargo ship M/V Hope Island.”

This ship is owned by England and sails under the flag of the Marshall Islands. In this case, no report of damage or injury has been published.

America and England have attacked the positions of the Yemeni forces on several occasions under the pretext of protecting international shipping, but according to the evidence of international experts, these measures have not been able to stop the attacks against the ships belonging to the Zionist regime in the Red Sea.

The European Union has also established a naval mission in the Red Sea called “Aspides” and has claimed that the purpose of this operation will be only defensive.

In the past months, in support of the people of Gaza, the Yemeni armed forces have targeted several ships of the Zionist regime or ships carrying goods for this regime, which were heading to the occupied territories in the Red Sea, the Indian Ocean, and the Bab al-Mandab Strait.

The armed forces of Yemen have pledged that until the Israeli regime does not stop its attacks on the Gaza Strip and the killing of the people of this region, the attacks on the ships of this regime or the ships bound for the occupied territories and the ships of the coalition forces supporting the Zionist regime will continue in the Red Sea. gave.
