A Republican senator warned by presenting documents about the high cost of the war in Ukraine, which is the responsibility of the United States. |
Tommy Taberville, a Republican senator from Alabama, presented documents and announced that the United States spends about $80,000 every second on aid to Ukraine.
He emphasized that such a level of spending is unacceptable for Washington and suggested finding better ways to spend American taxpayers’ money.
Taberville said: “Now we are printing or burning $80,000 per second, $4.6 million per minute.” We can’t go on like this. We need to find better ways to spend our money.
Earlier, the Russian ambassador in Washington, Antonov, said that the West is tired of the burden of supporting Ukraine.
Meanwhile, Bloomberg announced in a report that Europe, the United States and their allies are forced to raise taxes to cover their costs amid the Ukraine war and rising defense costs.
