America’s request to countries to dissuade Iran from retaliating against the Zionist regime

The US Secretary of State talked to his counterparts in several countries and requested their mediation regarding Iran's potential response to the recent attack by the occupying regime in Damascus.

According to the US State Department, Anthony Blinken spoke on the phone with the foreign ministers of Turkey, China, Saudi Arabia and their European counterparts in the last 24 hours and requested them to use their influence to dissuade Iran from attacking Israel.

According to the AFP news agency, Matthew Miller, the spokesman of the US State Department, claimed in a press conference that Washington is still “concerned about the risk of escalation of tensions in the region” and in a telephone conversation with his counterparts, he clearly stated that the increase in tensions is in the interest of someone. It is not, and therefore countries should ask Iran not to escalate this issue.

These statements are mentioned while Iran’s representation in the United Nations stated today that if the Security Council had condemned the attack by the Zionist regime and subsequently prosecuted its perpetrators, perhaps the necessity of punishing Iran for this rebellious regime would have been removed.

Hossein Amir Abdollahian, the foreign minister of our country, emphasized in a conversation with his German counterpart a few hours ago that Iran’s foreign policy is always based on avoiding tension; However, “when the Israeli regime completely violates the immunity of individuals and diplomatic places in violation of international law and the Vienna Conventions, legitimate defense with the aim of punishing the aggressor is a necessity”.
