He said on Thursday in this article that “all-round reduction of the escalation of tension in the West Asia requires an immediate end to the war in the Gaza Strip”.

He expressed his opinion as follows: “The war against terrorism is a central issue for the two governments, and we understand the role that the United States and other members of the international coalition play in the fight against ISIS and the defeat of terrorism.”

He continued that the guiding principle of Iraq’s foreign relations is the principle of “Iraq’s priority” and it means establishing strong partnerships based on common interests with friendly countries.

Al-Sudani added that Iraq does not allow it to be a field for settling accounts of foreign effective directions, and everyone should deal with Iraq based on sovereignty and mutual respect, and emphasized that Iraq seeks to regain its central role in the region and use its strategic position.
