The European Union sanctioned 3 military branches of Hamas and Islamic Jihad

In continuing to support the criminal Zionist regime, the European Union sanctioned 3 military sub-branches of Hamas and Islamic Jihad for their participation in the Al-Aqsa storm operation.

The European Union, continuing to support the criminal Zionist regime and turning a blind eye to the killing of the defenseless and oppressed Palestinian people by this regime in Gaza, sanctioned 3 military sub-branches of Hamas and Islamic Jihad for their participation in the Al-Aqsa storm operation.

According to a statement published by the European Union on Friday, Saraya Al-Quds, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and Saraya Izzedin Qassam and the elite forces, which are considered to be the military branches of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), have been added to the list of EU sanctions.

According to the statement of the European Union, the assets of the sanctioned entities in the member countries of this union were blocked and European companies and citizens were prohibited from financial dealings with them. Also, the members of these organizations do not have the right to travel to EU member countries and their entry or transit to these countries is prohibited.

In the statement of the European Union, without mentioning the barbaric crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza, it is claimed: The Council of Europe, in its statement on March 21-22, 2024, condemned Hamas in the strongest possible way for the attacks against Israel on October 7, 2023, and Israel’s right recognized for self-defense, in accordance with international laws.

The statement added: The Council of Europe stresses that the safety and welfare of the hostages (Israeli prisoners) is a serious concern and that Hamas and other armed groups should immediately grant humanitarian access to all remaining hostages (captives). The Council of Europe also asked the Council (the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Union) to speed up its work to impose more sanctions against Hamas.

On October 15, 1402 and October 7, 2023, the Palestinian resistance groups launched a surprise operation called “Al-Aqsa Storm” from Gaza (southern Palestine) against the positions of the Israeli regime, which finally ended on December 3, 1402 after 45 days of fighting On November 24, 2023, a four-day temporary ceasefire was established between Israel and Hamas, or a pause for the exchange of prisoners between Hamas and Israel.

This pause in the war continued for seven days and finally on the morning of Friday, December 10, 2023, the temporary ceasefire ended and the Israeli regime resumed attacks against Gaza.

In order to retaliate for the surprise attacks of the “Al-Aqsa storm” and to compensate for its failure and to stop the resistance operations, this regime has closed all the crossings of the Gaza Strip and is bombarding this area. Negotiations to re-establish a ceasefire in Gaza and the release of prisoners with the mediation of Qatar and Egypt and the participation of the United States have not yet reached a conclusion.

Meanwhile, according to reports, more than 33,000 Palestinians have been martyred and more than 76,000 others have been injured in Gaza.
