The reaction of Germany and the European Commission to Iran’s missile attacks on the occupied territories

The German government condemned Iran's attack on the occupied territories in the evening without referring to the Zionist regime's attack on the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

German Chancellor Olaf Schulz was the last western official who reacted to Tehran’s actions against Israel on Sunday in a biased move towards the Zionist regime.

In a post on X, he reacted to Iran’s missile and drone attack without referring to the brutal attack by the Zionist regime on the Iranian consulate in Syria and wrote: The attack that Iran carried out tonight on Israeli soil is unjustified and very irresponsible. Iran increases the tension in the region.

Schultz also noted that Berlin will continue to stand by Israel and “discuss the situation with our allies.”
Ursula von der Leyen, the head of the European Commission, reacted to Iran’s drone and missile attacks on Israel on Sunday and, while siding with the Zionist regime and its actions, called Iran’s missile and drone attack “impertinent and unjustified”.

In a post on X, von der Leyen called on Iran to immediately stop these attacks and called on all actors to refrain from further escalation and work to restore stability in the region.

On Saturday night, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps announced the firing of dozens of drones and missiles towards the occupied territories and positions of the Zionist regime.

In the notice of the IRGC it is stated: In response to the numerous crimes committed by the Zionist regime, including the attack on the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus and the martyrdom of a group of commanders and military advisors of our country in Syria, the IRGC’s aerospace force targeted certain targets inside the occupied territories with Dozens of missiles and drones were hit.

The representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the United Nations also announced: Iran’s military action was based on Article 51 of the United Nations Charter regarding legitimate defense in response to the aggression of the Zionist regime on the diplomatic places of our country in Damascus.
