Kajaki dam is one of the largest dams in Afghanistan, which is located in Kajaki city of Helmand province in the south of this country and is used to control monsoon floods and irrigate agricultural lands. And the electricity generation is built on the Hirmand River.
The “Dehrawood” water measuring station is located upstream of the Kajaki Dam, which calculates the amount of water entering the Hirmand River. This calculation shows whether the dam was high or low.
