Gaza Municipality announced that more than 10,000 Palestinians have been displaced after the destruction of 2,000 residential units by the Zionist occupying forces in the city of Al-Zahra in the center of the Gaza Strip.
In this statement, it is stated that more than 50 residential towers were destroyed in this city and the municipal headquarters, water wells, pumps, sewage networks, water networks and several universities including the University of Palestine, Al-Isra and Gaza were destroyed. The official statement said that six public schools, one private school and one school for the blind were also leveled.
The municipality said that Al-Wafa Rehabilitation Hospital was not spared from the destruction, and also a nursing home, Al-Zahra State Clinic and government facilities such as Civil Defense and the Palace of Justice and the Water Company of Coastal Municipalities were also targeted.
The municipality also announced the complete stop of pumping water wells in this town for more than ten days due to the lack of fuel needed to run them.
