Iraq: We continuously monitor the tensions in the region

The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced in a statement warning of the escalation of tensions that the country is constantly monitoring the tensions in the region.

From the official news agency of Iraq (WAA), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Iraq strongly expressed its concern regarding the alleged attacks this morning in Isfahan.

The Iraqi Foreign Ministry also warned against the risk of escalation of military tensions and considered it a threat to the security and stability of the entire region.

This statement states: The mentioned tension should not divert the world’s attention from the events that are happening in Gaza and the killing of innocents.

Iraq’s Foreign Ministry called on the international community to fulfill its duties and work to immediately stop the suffering of the people of Gaza.

Around 4 am on Friday, the air defense of the 8th Shekari Base of Isfahan was used for interception and the sound of the defense was heard from the northeast of Isfahan.

Amir Major General Seyyed Abdulrahim Mousavi, the commander in chief of the army, in a conversation about the sound of the explosion in Isfahan, said: The explosion in the sky of Isfahan this morning was related to the shooting of anti-aircraft defense systems at a suspicious object that did not cause any accident or damage.

He added: The relevant experts are investigating the dimensions of the issue and will inform them after receiving the results.
