According to Al Jazeera, Centcom published a post on X social network (former Twitter), and wrote: The reports about the US air strike in Iraq are not true.
Centcom further claimed: The United States did not conduct an air strike in Iraq today.
In this regard, a senior Iraqi official told the American PBS channel that the explosion that occurred in Babol province was caused by an airstrike by the Zionist regime, and we will investigate this matter.
Earlier, the Popular Mobilization Organization of Iraq (Al-Hashd al-Shaabi) had confirmed the explosion in the Kalso military base located in the north of Babil province in a statement.
In the statement of the Popular Mobilization of Iraq, it is stated: An explosion took place at the headquarters of the Hashd al-Shaabi forces in the Kalso military base in the Al-Mahaji region in the north of Babil province.
In the continuation of this statement, it is stated: immediately the investigation team arrived at the place and this explosion left material damages and some were injured, after the completion of the preliminary investigation, the details of this explosion will be announced later.
In this regard, the director of the al-Mayadeen office in Baghdad reported that these aggressive attacks targeted the main entrance of the Kalso base, a car garage and two offices of the Hashd al-Shaabi forces, and the intensity of the attacks was strong.
He also said that this Hashd al-Shaabi headquarters was targeted with three attacks and at least 3 people were injured.
According to this report, the air activity of American planes in Iraqi skies is active as usual and a refueling plane has been observed in Iraqi airspace.
