Haniyeh met with Erdogan in Istanbul

Anatolia News Agency of Turkey announced that President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hosted Ismail Haniyeh, the head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, in his office today.
This meeting was held behind closed doors in Erdogan’s presidential office.
Hanieh’s trip to Turkey takes place in a situation where Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shukri is also in the same country and had meetings with Turkey’s Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.
Earlier, referring to Haniyeh’s trip to Turkey, an Arab media reported that Ankara is trying to mediate between the Hamas movement and the Zionist regime and take the place of Egypt and Qatar.
Turkey’s mediation channel will be directly supervised by Recep Tayyip Erdogan and he will try to reach a final agreement to end the Gaza war through his relations.
