Informal meeting between the leaders of Canada and Poland to help Ukraine

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Polish President Andriy Duda discussed more aid to Ukraine in a personal and informal meeting.

According to Ryannews, the heads of the countries met at the Esquimalt Canadian military base and emphasized their unwavering support for Kyiv.

Trudeau and Duda, while discussing ways to continue sending aid to the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), endorsed diplomatic efforts to end the conflict in Ukraine.

In this conversation, the politicians also expressed their commitment to strengthen transatlantic security and discussed preparations for the upcoming NATO meeting in July.

It was previously revealed that Ottawa will allocate more than 40 million Canadian dollars (29.5 million US dollars) for the purchase of military equipment for Ukraine. In addition, more than 800 Canadian-made drones are being transported to Kyiv, with the first shipment expected to arrive in Ukraine in the spring. Night vision devices are another part of Canada’s aid to Ukraine.
