Ismail Haniyeh: We will not fall into the trap; If Rafah is attacked, we will fight back

Ismail Haniyeh, the head of Hamas’s political office, stated this Sunday that the Palestinians will not fall into the trap of deception by Washington and Tel Aviv and that if the enemy decides to attack Rafah, the resistance is ready to defend and counter. .

“Washington’s position on the attack on Rafah is deceptive. Palestinians do not fall into the trap of dividing roles between Americans and Israelis. This is part of Ismail Haniyeh’s interview with Anatolia news agency.

He added that if the enemy wants to attack Rafah, “the Palestinian nation will not raise the white flag and the resistance is ready to defend itself.”

Hanieh said regarding the process of negotiations regarding the ceasefire that the Zionist regime does not agree with the ceasefire, what it wants is the return of its prisoners and the resumption of the war, and this is not possible.

In the continuation of his interview, Haniyeh addressed the issue of the expansion of the circle of war in the region and considered the Zionist regime to be the cause of this and added that the scope of confronting Israel in the region including Lebanon, Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Iran is expanding and all These are related to the continued aggression, fighting and war of destruction against the light of Gaza. When the invasion of Gaza stops, these fronts will definitely be “calm”.

In the meantime, according to the latest published details of the ceasefire talks held recently in Cairo, Hamas has rejected the agreement proposed by the US and Egypt, which only included the demands of the Zionist side.

Hamas has once again emphasized that it will not agree to an agreement that does not include an exact date for the cessation of the war in Gaza, the return of refugees and the provision of aid to them before any exchange of prisoners. And the party that will be responsible for the administration of the Gaza Strip emphasized that “the administration of the Gaza Strip should be according to the will of the Palestinians”.

In another part of this interview, he said that the resistance welcomes any Arab or Islamic force that helps our people for freedom, not that it wants to support the occupation regime.
