According to the international group Tasnim News Agency
, according to the statement of the Tunisian presidential office, the president of Algeria, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, and the head of the Libyan presidential council, Mohamed Manifi, will enter the capital of this country on Monday this week at the invitation of the president of Tunisia, Qais Saeed, to attend the first consultative meeting between participate themselves.
The statement did not reveal more details about the consultative meeting of the leaders of Tunisia, Algeria and Libya.
According to Al-Rai Al-Youm newspaper, the leaders of Tunisia, Algeria and Libya decided to hold a tripartite meeting of Arab Maghreb countries on the sidelines of the 7th meeting of the gas exporting countries which was held in March 1402 in the capital of Algeria. It should be held every three months and the first meeting after the holy month of Ramadan should be in the capital of Tunisia.
Algeria, Tunisia and Libya, as well as Maghreb and Mauritania, are members of the Arab Maghreb Union, which was established in 1989 and whose purpose is to open borders for transportation, free exchange of goods and security coordination and access to common policies in various fields, but due to the differences of some governments, the Arab Maghreb Union faced obstacles and could not achieve its goals.
Since its establishment, the Arab Maghreb Union has held only one meeting at the summit level, and that was in 1994 in Tunisia.
