The process of voting and approving the 60 billion dollar aid bill for Ukraine was done within a few minutes; What happened after several months of indecision of the bill in the House of Representatives, indicates that the American legislators, regardless of their party preferences, unanimously support the continuation of support for Ukraine.
The aid bill to Israel did not face much opposition either. This general bill will go to the US Senate for final approval and it will probably be approved on Tuesday. US President Joe Biden pledged to sign this bill immediately.
Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, in response to this help, while thanking both parties of the US Congress, Mike Johnson, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, gave special thanks and wrote in “X” that Johnson’s decision “kept history on the right track.”
European Union leaders also welcomed this decision. On the other hand, Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, expressing her displeasure with the approval of this bill, said that Helping Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan will exacerbate global crises.
Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman of the Kremlin, also emphasized that this aid “will make America even richer and Ukraine will make it more bankrupt.”
