Armenpress news agency quoted the press office of the Security Council of Armenia as reporting that Armen Grigoryan, the secretary of the Security Council of this country, will not participate in the international meeting of the highest government representatives in the field of security, which is scheduled to be held on April 24-25 in St. Petersburg, Russia.
The reason why Grigoryan decided not to participate in this international meeting has not been revealed.
A few days ago, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Russia still considers Armenia to be its ally, and Yerevan certainly considers the importance of relations with Moscow for its security and development.
Lavrov said: We are united with Armenia. We consider this country as our ally. I think there are still people in Yerevan who understand the importance of Russia for the security and economic development of Armenia, and this is not only from a legal point of view.”
Especially the United States and the European Union are trying to speed up the separation of Armenia from Russia.
