Herat-Khaf railway has four sections, of which three sections have been completed so far, and the fourth section, which is connected to the Khaf- Herat is 47 km long as the final part of this project, connecting Afghanistan and Iran to international markets.

It is said that with the completion of the Khaf-Herat railway, Afghanistan will be connected to Iran’s sea ports and through it to Turkey and from there to Europe, and this transit through Afghanistan will strengthen trade relations. between Central and South Asia.
