According to the regional office of Tasnim News Agency, press office Hizb-ul-Tahrir in Afghanistan, in a statement confirming the arrest of members of this group in various provinces by the Taliban government, wrote: Such pressures will not deter Hizb-ul-Tahrir and its members from continuing the call and efforts to establish a caliphate.
This extremist group also criticized the Taliban government that its members were not included in the amnesty and release of prisoners on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.
Late last April In a statement, Hizb ut-Tahrir announced the arrest of the spokesperson and a number of members of this extremist group over the past two months for the crime of calling for and establishing an Islamic caliphate.
Taliban government’s intelligence agency had banned the activities of Hizb-ul-Tahrir, Jamiat Islah and Nihad al-Najm in Afghanistan two years ago.
Hizb al-Tahrir is an organization that considers the establishment of a caliphate throughout the Islamic world as its goal and each Islamic country as a province of this caliphate centered on the Arab lands.
