The perpetrators of the killing of worshipers in Herat should be identified and punished

In response to last night’s terrorist attack in the Imam Zaman (AS) mosque, the Shia scholars of Herat issued a statement asking the Taliban government to identify the perpetrators of these crimes as soon as possible and punish them severely.

This statement states: “Once again, the perpetrators of crimes and foreign mercenaries killed some of the oppressed and defenseless worshipers of our country with a terrorist act in the Imam Zaman (AS) mosque located in Andisheh town of Gozrah city, Herat province. They injured him”.

The statement adds: “This barbaric act, which has wounded the hearts of our dear compatriots and all the free people of the world, shows the extreme cruelty and base nature of the perpetrators and commanders. Behind the curtain of this crime is that, out of desperation and helplessness, they do not have the vision to see a stable, peaceful and progressing Afghanistan and commit such crimes.”

Shab In the past, during Maghrib and Isha prayers, unknown armed men attacked the worshipers in the Imam Zaman (AS) mosque, as a result of which 7 people were martyred and several others were injured.

Nisar Ahmad Elias, the spokesperson of the governor of Herat, also released a statement while condemning this attack and said: The efforts of the forces of the Islamic Emirate to arrest the perpetrators of this attack are ongoing and they will find and hand them over as soon as possible.

“Hamid Karzai” the former president of Afghanistan also said in a statement while condemning the terrorist attack on the worshipers in the Imam Zaman (A.S.) Mosque in “Gazha” city of Herat : This act of terrorism is against all religious and human standards.

Abdullah Abdullah, head of the Supreme National Reconciliation Council of the former government of Afghanistan, also in a message While condemning this attack, he said: “While I consider the cowardly attack on our defenseless countrymen to be against Islamic and humanitarian standards, I pray for the martyrs of this incident to go to heaven and for the injured to get well soon.”

The Office of the UN Deputy Mission in Afghanistan also wrote on the X channel: “Investigations and accountability for the perpetrators and protective measures for the Afghan Shia community are urgently needed”.
