According to Mehr Reporter, the meeting “Commemoration of the Persian Gulf Day and the unveiling of Dr. Mohammad Baqer Vathouqi’s award” on Monday, May 10 1403 by the efforts of the History and Archeology Department of the House of Humanities Thinkers and in cooperation with the History Department of Tehran University and the Iranian History Association, it was held in the Ferdowsi Hall of the House of Humanities Thinkers with the presence of university professors and scholars of history and geography.

Persian Gulf National Day proposal
Mansoor Sefat Gol, one of the university professors and The speaker of this ceremony said: The National Day of the Persian Gulf has entered Iran’s calendar at the suggestion of Mohammad Baqer Vathoughi. We had the honor to establish the Persian Gulf Studies Department for the first time, which was founded by Wastoqi. He has a great contribution in Persian Gulf studies based on Iranian sources. It is a great honor for me that I had the opportunity to speak about the scientific merits and virtues of Mohammad Baqer Watoghi and also the National Day of the Persian Gulf. He is a worthy son of great and wise Iran-oriented Larestan. Wherever the name of Persian Gulf research is mentioned, the name of trust shines and this is an honor for us.

Glorifying a famous scientist in the field of Persian Gulf studies
Shahram Yousefi, the other speaker of the ceremony, said: We are pleased that a famous scientist in the field of Persian Gulf studies is being honored in a ceremony that coincides with Persian Gulf Day. Coordinating to complete this honor was both a very sweet and difficult task. We managed to prepare a collection of articles and every professor we talked to accepted the invitation with a smile. I would like to thank all the people and organizations who worked hard to organize this ceremony, including the House of Humanities Thinkers, the Iranian History Association, the Department of History of Tehran University, and the Andisheh Library. I ask the Almighty God that the mental freshness of Mohammad Baqer and Tawqi will continue to boil.

More familiarity with the hometown
Abdul Majid Arfai said: I feel happy I have been invited to this meeting. The acquaintance of me and Mohammad Baqer Wothoqi goes back many years. He used to refer me some work in the university. I got to know my hometown better by reading his articles. Such a great teacher has done great things.

Reading the message of Abdul Rasool Khairandish by Ahmad Masjid Jamei
Ahmad Masjid Jamei, message Abdul Rasool Khairandish, professor of Shiraz University, read. In a part of this message, it was stated: Although the Persian Gulf covers 90% of our country’s exports and imports, the usefulness and cultural capabilities of this Gulf should also be kept in mind. All the followers of known religions have come and gone in this sea, but Islam settled there. This bay has been the most important place for pearl fishing in the world. Mohammad Baqer and Tawqi and his colleagues have done valuable work on the Persian Gulf.

Knowing the Arab families of the Persian Gulf

Hamid Ahmadi, the other speaker of this meeting, said: Mohammad Baqer Watoghi is the one whose works and writings are all about introducing the Persian Gulf. I recommend his books to political science students. The books he wrote about his birthplace are exceptional. The work he has done regarding the sacrifice of Iranian peoples is wonderful. I don’t think that there is a researcher who has worked so much on the Persian Gulf, except for Wastoqi. In his recent works, he has gone beyond the borders and worked in the field of oriental studies. He knows a lot about the Arab families of the Persian Gulf. His friendship with Iran is always praiseworthy. In the university, he excels both academically and morally.

Research for the greatness of Iran

Rasoul Jafarian, one of the professors of the university, said: “Everything I know about the Persian Gulf is based on my friendship with Mohammad Baqer.” Fortunately, I have the opportunity to follow his works and articles. It is known that in 1964 the Arab League approved that Arab speakers no longer have the right to use the word Persian Gulf. Of course, it is said that for the first time an Englishman, who was once an adviser to the Emir of Bahrain, suggested that the name of the Persian Gulf be changed to a fake name. Mohammad Baqer Wastoqi is someone who does not have any extra words in his writings. It has been a success and an honor for me to have learned from him and learned from his manner and character. He has researched with love for the greatness of Iran. He is an international professor and has all the characteristics of an exemplary professor.

30 years of research in fields that have not been worked on much
Hoshang Khosrobigi On behalf of the History Association, he expressed: The history of my friendship and devotion to Mohammad Baqer Vathoqi is about 30 years ago. 30 years ago, I was the public relations officer of Payam Noor University. Due to my duty, I used to receive news and information in the university area. At that time, there were many reports from one of the managers in Fars province who worked with special love and interest. I was very eager to see this manager, and finally I met Mohammad Baqer Vathouqi and realized that we are close to each other in terms of our field. His moral character, management ability, efforts and pursuits are commendable. The enthusiasm and motivation to serve the country is evident in his eyes. If he did not enter the field of local history of Larestan, maybe this gap will remain. In Iran, we do not see many works in the field of East Asian history, but in this field, the place of trust shines. He is looking for areas that are less worked and difficult to reach. I would like to thank the House of Humanities Thinkers, Andisheh Publishing House and University of Tehran for organizing this event. It was right that this ceremony was held much earlier.

humble research

At the end of the ceremony, Mohammad Baqer Vathouqi said: I am very grateful and my language cannot help me to say what is going on in my heart. I thank all of you and bow.
