Fidan: Türkiye will join Israel’s genocide case in Gaza

Turkey's foreign minister said: Ankara has decided to join South Africa's "genocide" case against Israel at the International Court of Justice.

According to Mehr News Agency, quoted by Anatolia News Agency, Minister Hakan Fidan The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a joint press conference with Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi in Ankara today: Turkey will also join the current case (genocide of the occupiers of Al-Quds) in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) opened by South Africa. /p>

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey stated: In the meetings he made in line with his trip to Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, some countries announced about the genocide case of South Africa against (the regime of) Israel. They are ready to take a position in this field.

He pointed out that so far only Nicaragua and Colombia have taken a concrete position on this case, he clarified: We also presented the results of our evaluations to our president today and I would like to For the first time, I am announcing here in accordance with the political decision taken. As the country of Turkey, we have decided to join the case that South Africa has brought against (the regime of) Israel in the International Court of Justice.

Hakan Fidan added: We hope that with this step, the process before the International Court of Justice will go in the right direction. As I mentioned earlier, we have been working on this program for a very long time.

The Turkish Foreign Minister continued: After the president takes this political decision and announces it to the whole world, we will complete our legal work. In the meantime, we will continue to work with all friendly and allied countries to see what more can be done on this issue and which countries can come forward.
