According to Webangah News quoted by Tasnim News agency Agency, a spokesman for the British Foreign Office told Reuters that US, UK and European Union officials Last week, they traveled to the UAE as part of extensive coordinated measures to prevent the embargoed goods from reaching Russia. Separately, they asked the UAE to share detailed information about exports to Russia and re-exports of dual-purpose goods.
A spokesperson of the US State Department also stated that a delegation of The United States has visited the UAE as part of discussions on shipping trends, particularly dual-use goods.
They stated that among America’s concerns that companies in the UAE are involved in exporting computer chips, electronics, parts and other sanctioned products to Russia; And these products could be used to help Moscow’s military effort against Ukraine.
These sources told Reuters that imports of some of the embargoed dual-use products by the UAE have increased since the sanctions were imposed. The West has increased against Russia, and Russian trade data showed that the source of the embargoed goods imported from this country was the Persian Gulf.
