210 people were arrested during the Turkish Labor Day protests

Turkey's interior minister confirmed the arrest of a large number of demonstrators during the Labor Day protests in the country.

reported Mehr News Agency According to Reuters news agency, a Turkish official announced on Wednesday that the country’s police arrested more than 200 protesters who had gathered in Istanbul on the occasion of International Labor Day.

According to this news agency, “Ali Yerlikaya” the Minister of Interior of Turkey in this Bare said that the clash occurred when the demonstrators broke through police barriers to reach Taksim Square.

According to the reports, Istanbul police have arrested at least 30 demonstrators in Besiktas neighborhood alone. 30 protesters have also been arrested in Sishli region.

The Turkish police resorted to using tear gas Avar and plastic bullets to disperse the protesters in the historic Taksim square.

The number of 40,000 security forces and police were stationed in Istanbul and blocked the side streets by placing barriers.

It should be said that Ankara had banned holding demonstrations in Taksim Square in Istanbul.
