Lebanon’s Al-Nashre news base reported on Wednesday, quoting American media, that “Eric Adams” the mayor of New York said that the police “New York City” yesterday 300 people at Columbia University and “City College” has arrested in demonstrations supporting Palestine.
Adams, who was interviewed by CBS TV, claimed that most of those arrested were not students.
He also claimed that the police identified organizations and people who were present at the rallies as “professional rioters”.
This American official, with the peaceful aim of showing the police’s treatment of pro-Gaza protesters, claimed that during the police attack on Columbia University, there was no serious conflict between the police and the protesters.
